December, handskrivna lappar & levande ljus.

Latest Instagram weeks! Some sewing, little blogging and lots of work.

  1. Hi Jessica! I’ve been reading your blog for years now and love it (congratulations on your engagement too!).

I’ve seen your vintage Stockholm guide, but was wondering whether there’s anything else you recommend doing? I’m coming over in February and am keen to do a bit of shopping but would love to know if you have any tips on places to eat or go dancing since I know you like to dance?

Any advice on pretty much anything worth seeing and doing (vintage related or otherwise) in Stockholm would be simply wonderful!
    Tack så mycket!

    1. Hi Freddie, I am more than happy to give you some Stockholm tips! I need to know what kind of shopping you like, food and music preferences. I prefer vintage shopping, eating vegetarian and listening (and dancing) to jazz and swing, so this is the things I know best! Is it your first time in Stockholm? xx

      1. Hi Jessica, thanks so much for your reply.
It will be my 2nd time in Stockholm as I visited years ago with family, but this time I’ll be with my boyfriend for the Valentines weekend. I’d love to do some vintage shopping whilst I’m over (and I’m a knitting fiend so I’ll be on the lookout for craft shops too).
It would be great to find out about some nice places to see – I’ve got Skansen on my list and Gamla Stan, but we’re both big fans of taking leisurely and scenic strolls.
My boyfriend likes a bit of big band/swing music and I’m sure he’d like to go out one night to dance or listen to music if we can find anywhere! I’m not really sure whether it’s likely to be very busy on Valentines day like it is in London?

        1. I’ve also just found out about the Swedish Swing Society, but not sure whether they’ll have any dance events on when I’m in town :)

          1. I am planning to answer you as soon as I have some time, hang in there! :-) SSS arrange dance nights, but the social dance at Chicago swing dance studio are more beautiful (if you also enjoy the scenery!) because they are held in an old movie theater, probably from the 30s/1940s: http://www.chicago75.se/.
