A study of pin curls.

Photo: Jessica Silversaga

This is my second attempt to do pin curls. You can see the first time here, starting with counterclockwise curls.
This time i made them clockwise. I am happy with the result and will continue training.
The red flower is thrifted and the dress is from the 40’s.

I found my yellow basket.

Jag har hittat en fin väskkorg på en loppis. Det gjorde mig väldigt glad. 140 pix kostade den och står nu och pryder mitt fönster i väntan på varmare dagar. De fina bilderna har Jacob tagit, tack för hjälpen!

Translation
This is my latest thrifted find, a large basket for 20$. I have been looking for a bag like this one for quite some time. I think it will be perfect for picnics and lazy summer days. Happy.

Hello. I hope you all are feeling well.
I have had the flu the last days. But then I also had the time to finish this vintage dress (that was too big), watch movies, rest and dream about spring.
And yes, I also managed to get out and buy some old flowered teacups. The best way to get better, I am sure.

Shake it out.

Last weekend I was invited to Tygverket’s workshop “Making a circle skirt”.

I am so happy with the result. I have wanted a simple black wool skirt with high waist for quite some time now.

Amanda was so amazing and helped me learn how to make one. It was very easy!

Duty calls!

This is how I looked yesterday, I had such a wonderful evening. Many handsome men in uniforms and sailor girls.
My plan was to finish my sailor dress and make a red wool hat, but I never had the time to make it. This is how it all ended up!

Navy dress with white collar, vintage
Blue wool hat, vintage

Love!

Sailor dress.

Tonight I’m going to Duty Calls by Fröken Frauke, a WWII inspired night with cabaret burlesque and swing dance.
I have been looking for a vintage uniform but did not find anything, so I will try to finish this remade sailor dress and also buy some more fabric and make a small hat.
